But let’s be real, there’s only so many times that Great Aunt Mildred can call you by the wrong name and ask why you’re not married yet, before you just need a break.
If you’re lucky enough to be spending the long weekend on the better Coast, never fear… plenty of our favourite spots are open, and keen to continue the Easter festivities with you all weekend long.

The Velo Project
We mention The Velo Project a lot, but it’s only because they’re flipping amazing. They’re open Easter Sunday from 7am-3pm, for all your brunchin’ needs.
Sunshine Sunshine Espresso
Not only is Sunshine Sunshine Espresso keeping their doors open on the Sunshine Coast this Easter weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am-12pm, Monday 7.30am-11am), but this Currimundi gem is also dishing up an epic Easter cronut for your tasting pleasure.
Decisions has you covered over the whole long weekend, catering to your healthy (or not-so-healthy) desires from 6am to 5pm every damn day.
Eaten too much chocolate already? Treat your body to some organic goodness from The Shak. Tucked away in Buderim, these guys are open for breakfast and lunch from Friday to Sunday.
Cotton Tree favourite Get Fresh is open for business as usual on Easter Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, closing only on Good Friday. Pop in to the shop to get your hands on bulk Easter goodies, like delicious organic hot cross buns.
Hand Of Fatima
Peregian locals, we know that the thought of having to push through this long weekend sans caffeine is just SO not okay. But fear not, Hand of Fatima will be ready to satisfy your coffee fix from 5am ‘til 3pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Sitting across the road from the river, Noosa fave Depot Café is open on Easter Sunday for coffee and brunchy treats until 2pm.
This top Maleny brekky spot will be closed Good Friday, but doing their usual breakfast and lunch thang on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Nambour locals will be stoked to hear that Urban Garden is open this long weekend for good times and great coffee. They’re operating slightly shorter hours on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, opening from 8am-1pm. Their Maroochydore cafe is also open on Saturday from 7am-1pm.
Throwing open their doors every day except Easter Monday, we’re pretty stoked we can continue our love affair with Pitchfork this long weekend. Psssst… word on the street is these chaps are already heavily booked, so don’t fence-sit over this one.
Whether it’s a beachside brunch, a bowl of their legendary calamari, or a round of sunset cocktails, Bistro C’s got your back, from breakfast until late over the entire Easter long weekend.
Thomas Corner Eastery
This bossin’ Noosaville joint is open for lunch and dinner erryday over the long weekend, plus they’re serving brekky on Saturday and Sunday. Casual-chic vibes and divine river views come free with every purchase at Thomas Corner Eatery.
If you’re yet to experience the amazingness that is Gainsbourg, don’t think. Just do. This Mooloolaba Esplanade standout is open from 1pm on Friday, and then it’s business as usual for the rest of the weekend, open from early ‘til late on Saturday, and all day until 7pm on Sunday and Monday.
This gorgeous spot right on Kawana’s canals will blow your boozy blues away. The Green Zebra is open this Easter long weekend from 11.30am ‘til late on Friday and Saturday, ‘til 3pm on Sunday, and from 12pm-2pm on Monday.
Harry’s On Buderim
Surrounded by the lush Buderim rainforest, Harry’s is an absolute gem, and will be only too happy to accommodate you this weekend. They’re open for lunch and dinner every day except Good Friday.
The Terrace Of Maleny
Easter and seafood go hand-in-hand, so why not celebrate with the best? Spoil yourself with a seafood spread like no other for lunch or dinner (or both) at the exquisite Terrace of Maleny from Friday through to Sunday.
Montville Gourmet Pizzeria
If sweet treats just don’t cut the mustard, why not indulge in an epic Italian feast from Montville Gourmet Pizzeria instead? Relish in this hinterland restaurant’s drool-worthy pizza and pasta menu from Saturday through to Monday, this long weekend.
Enjoy drinks and oh-so-delish Thai cuisine at the Spirit House this Easter. This famous Coast favourite is open as usual every day over the long weekend, but you’d better be crossing them toes and fingers if you want to nab a table. It’s not ranked as one of the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast for nothing.
New kid on the block Dirty Moes is open for lunch and dinner on Easter Saturday and Sunday. If festivities at home are getting too hectic, these guys are your go-to, whisking you away to the Deep South without having to leave Mooloolaba.
No need to play trial and error, Lot 104 is open as usual over the whole Easter weekend. Opening from 6am ‘til late (but closing after lunch on Monday), make Lot 104 your main digs for any Easter celebration.
If you’re a Coast local and are staying in town for the long weekend, the Good Bar is where you need to be. Open Easter Saturday and Sunday, midday until late.
Another bar open on the Sunshine Coast this Easter weekend is fave Caloundra haunt, Drift. From Friday through to Monday for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, these guys are giving you no reason to miss ANY meals this long weekend.
This Ocean Street legend is running their usual trade on Easter Saturday and Sunday, closing only on Good Friday. The “new” Solbar is revelling in five years of live music this long weekend, so they’ve pieced together a stellar line-up of local artists just for you.
The Piano Bar
Ain’t no party like a four-day party! Schmooze over some wine and smooth jazz at The Piano Bar from 12pm ‘til midnight Friday and Saturday, 11am ‘til midnight on Sunday, and 5pm ‘til midnight on Monday.
The Post Office
Ocean Street favourite The Post Office is open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from morning ‘til late. Soak up the coastal sun in their epic beer garden, ‘cause day-drinking is way better on long weekends.
Peak Wine Bar
Sittin’ pretty in Maroochydore, Peak Wine Bar wants to join you in celebrating all things Easter, opening their doors on Friday 11am-10.30pm, Saturday 11am-late, and Sunday 10am-midnight.
The team at Miss Moneypenny’s are always keen to party, and what better reason than a long weekend to make it a big one! They’ll be ready to rock and roll on Good Friday from lunchtime ‘til late, as well as Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from breakfast ‘til late.
Bar closing on Good Friday, Your Place isn’t changing a thing. Open 7am ‘til late on Saturday and Sunday, and 7am-3pm on Monday. Sip away your precious days off with their rockin’ espresso martinis.
The Ocean Street World Festival is on this Sunday from 10am to 10pm, and it’s gonna be huge! Pretty much everywhere on Ocean Street will be open, with heaps of faves like La Canteena and Old Soul even opening early to get a slice of the festival action. It’s a happenin’ street party with market stalls, live music, and its very own funky pop-up bar, Captain and The Duke. Get a move on then!
