Franklin Dining Room And Bar At Icebergs
If you’ve been desperate to visit Franklin, one of Tasmania’s best restaurants, but you haven’t been able to make the journey across the Bass Strait, now is your chance. Chef, David Moyle, is bringing his culinary genius to Icebergs this Thursday as he joins forces with restaurateur, Maurice Terzini and executive chef, Monty Koludrovic. For one night only, the aptly named Franklin Dining Room and Bar will allow Sydneysiders the opportunity to taste local produce and fresh seafood created by these two leading Australian chefs. With a wine list curated by James Hird and Giorgio de Maria and featuring natural wines from Australia, Italy, and France, you’ll be wanting to book a flight to Hobart to eat at Franklin before you’ve even finished your entrée.

Kilikanoon Wine Dinner At The Epping Club
When a chef has worked in Michelin star restaurants in Europe and has appeared on Masterchef ‘The Professionals’, you know you’re in for a treat (and a really tasty time). Executive chef, Nick Whitehouse, brings his expertise and modern European flavours to The Epping Club’s newly opened restaurant, Rawson’s, this Thursday. Enjoy a five-course degustation menu with wines from Kilikanoon Wines to match.

Edinburgh Castle’s Meet The Aussie Winemaker
The Barossa Valley’s Torbreck Wines will be showcasing their varieties of Aussie wine at the newly renovated Edinburgh Castle Hotel this Thursday. From 5pm in the upstairs cocktail lounge, customers can sample the varieties (The Steading Blanc, Philippou, Juveniles, Woodcutters and The Loon), chat to the Aussie winemaker, James, about the winemaking process and purchase wines to take home.

Texas-Style Barbecue 'Up In Smoke'
Put on your cowboy boots and get ready to giddy up because Texas is coming to Sydney! Dan The Man, a self-confessed barbeque addict, will be cooking, carving and creating an American-style barbeque of beef brisket, pork ribs, chicken wings, mac and cheese, coleslaw and pickles (amongst others) on the first Friday of every month.

Karma Kegs For International Beer Day
On any given Friday, it’s easy to drink a few schooners of beer, but add in International Beer Day and the reason to celebrate is a whole lot better! Thanks to Dove & Olive, Keg & Brew and The DOG Hotel, Karma Kegs will allow you to celebrate this incredibly important holiday by drinking and donating. 100% of proceeds from their special craft beers will go to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation. Tapped in the morning and served until sold out, schooners are $8.50 each but donations are welcome.

The Good Food And Wine Show
The Good Food and Wine Show celebrates the best in local and international food and beverage. The celebration will include some of Australia’s favourite chefs including Kylie Kwong, Matt Moran, Miguel Maestre, Alastair McLeod and Gary Mehigan, who will all take to the stage to show us their tips and tricks to create delectable dishes at home. Meander down Tucker’s Natural Cheese Alley, visit the Grazing Garden and celebrate International Beer Day at Brewers Lane.

Sydney Dog Lovers Show
For the dog lovers out there, get ready to go mutts over this event! Returning to the Royal Hall of Industries and the Hordern Pavillion this weekend, the Sydney Dog Lovers Show will unite dog owners with a variety of information for their best friends from breeders, trainers and businesses. Although dogs aren’t allowed at the show (it’s an indoor event), you can take them home a doggy bag full of treats from over 200 exhibitors. For the humans who will be attending, there’s plenty to keep you busy including visiting the doggy bookshop, eating from some of Sydney’s best food trucks (bone appetit!) and hearing from two of Australia’s favourite vets, Dr. Chris Brown and Dr. Katrina Warren.

Africola Rock’N Rola At Harpoon Harry
We are loving the Friends of Harry’s series at Harpoon Harry and this week have they got a goodie! Three world-class chefs, Duncan Welgemoed (Africola), Monty Koludrovic (Icebergs Dining Room and Bar) and Morgan McGlone, head of the Harpoon Harry kitchen, will be cooking up a storm this week.
