Noni Hazlehurst: On Empathy and Connection

Australian entertainment legend, and maybe every 5 year old’s girl crush, Noni Hazlehurst AM, is getting her storytelling on this Thursday night. The Playschool presenter will use the narrative of her life to give us all a little bit of life inspo and reassure us that, despite your social media feed, there are good things happening in the world.

Covers for a Cause – The Britpop Edition

In support of R U OK Day, The Soda Factory is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Oasis’s legendary Knebworth performances with 18 of Sydney’s best musicians and DJs. With beats from Oasis, Blur, Coldplay, Pulp, The Verve, The Smiths, Paul Weller and Happy Monday to keep you dancing all night long. The night will also raise funds for R U OK Day with The Soda Factory donating a gold coin from every food and drink purchase at the bar, which sounds pretty good to us! In Conversation with John Cleese

Join actor, writer and author, John Cleese, this Friday for a special screening of two Fawlty Tower episodes followed by an intimate conversation with the comedic legend himself. For one night only, Cleese will discuss his life of comedy, silliness and absurdity, which we are sure will bring all of the LOLs.

Round She Goes Fashion Market

The award-winning indoor women’s fashion market returns to Sydney this weekend. With 60 stalls to choose from, you’ll find more pre-loved designer labels, quality vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry than you could possibly carrying, meaning only one thing, bring your mates.

Mama’s Buoi Pho Festival

A festival to celebrate all things pho? Sign us up! Our friends at Mama’s Buoi are holding a pho festival to celebrate our favourite Vietnamese soup. Ongoing until the end of August, that’s a win, Mama’s Buoi will be serving up pho packed with seafood including fresh prawns, squid and barramundi, as well as rich milk gelato for dessert and a sweet and spicy cocktail of gin and Grand Marnier for good measure. One thing’s pho sure, it  sounds pho-nominal to us!

Mudgee Food and Wine Festival Balmoral Beach

There’s no need to worry about the three-hour drive from Sydney to enjoy Mudgee’s food and wine offerings because the region is coming to Sydney. Once again, the Mudgee Food and Wine Festival will be coming to Balmoral Beach this Sunday. On offer will be award winning wine (obviously), pickles, olive oils, cheeses and honey. With live music from 12pm to 5pm and an animal farm for the little ones, the whole family will love the quick trip to regional NSW.
