Retrosweat’s Prince Tribute Week
Grab your leg warmers and anything purple, it’s time to pay tribute to the greatest artist of all time (Prince, duhhh). Upon the heartbreaking news of another great loss for the musical hall of fame, Retrosweat will be dedicating a week of workouts to the legendary musician in a shower of purple rain and sweat. Don’t know what Retrosweat is? It’s an authentic 1980s freestyle aerobic workout toning your entire body and you’ll be able to groove your way to the ultimate bod with an hour of 80s and 90s Prince hits!

Want a taste of the good life? Then whisk on over and join the soirée at our favourite Surry Hills hang out, The Winery. Young Guns of South Australian Wine Tasting event
Love wine? Of course you do, so listen up. For the first time, United Cellars are teaming up with the expert of all things from the vine, Mike Bennie, to introduce Sydney’s wine lovers (that’s you) to an awesome event called Wines that will Change your Life. That’s right—it’s wine tasting time! Clear your calendars, there will be wines ready for you to taste (and to buy, of course).

MCMPR AW16 Sample Sale
If you know anything about fashion, you’ll know that when MCMPR announces a sample sale, it’s a big deal. Holding their highly anticipated Autumn Winter 16 sale for one day only, it’s an exclusive and must-see event. Head On Photo Festival opening night
Kickstarting Australia’s largest photographic festival is the Head On Portrait Prize at the Museum of Sydney which showcases a vibrant and diverse range of photographic work from amateur and professional photographers across the portrait, landscape, mobile, moving image and student categories. There will be exhibitions, events and talks all around Sydney including the CBD area, North Sydney and the Eastern Suburbs.

Finders Keepers Markets
Sydney, the number one indie market is back. More like a festival of bits-and-bobs than a market, Finders Keepers is the number one design market, featuring work from hundreds of independent makers from across Australia. You’ll find a flourish of good food, art, design, live music and wine amongst fresh talent!

A Food Truck Festival
Calling foodies of all walks of life, The Imperial Hotel Sydney will launch Sydney’s first weekend food truck festival! Culminating the state’s best food trucks, it will introduce a strong food offering fit for beginner foodies and the highly experienced. No matter what level you are, you can’t go wrong with the staple food truck. The festival will see new tastes each weekend with trucks parked directly outside The Imperial Hotel Sydney on Union Street. Don’t miss Big Daddy's food truck this Sunday who will be churning out some of our favourite burgers including The Texan, a waygu beef brisket with smoky BBQ sauce and their famous coleslaw.

Food Fight – The Battle for Food Security
At The Urban List, we’re experts at hosting the odd spaghetti stain on our sleeve every now and then (seriously, we never learn) but now it’s time to leave those table manners behind and get your hands dirty. The Museum of Contemporary Art, Liverpool City Council and Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre are inviting local community champions and food heroes to take part in a major artist-led project. The event will include a night market with local and health food stalls, live cooking shows, nutrition chats as well as your chance to be apart of a food fight… we may or may not have already raised our hands.

Yoga in a Brewery
There’s always a fine line between saluting the sun and saluting your mates over a beer… or maybe that’s just us. Fear not Sydney, we’ve found the ultimate balance between the good and maybe not-so-good things in life. Yoga and beer. That’s right, the smart cookies at Brewhouse Shala have brought us complete joy by hosting yoga classes in a brewery! The session will be for beginner to intermediate levels and you’ll be able to stick around after the session for free craft beer tastings, courtesy of the Wayward crew, and grab some free food. Let the team know at Brewhouse Shala whether you’re in need of a mat beforehand otherwise you’re set for an awesome day of shavasanas and schooners.

Organic Gardening basics
Keen to grow your green thumb? Look no further, the team of Milkwood have put together an awesome one day course for those of you live on #strugglestreet when it comes to looking after your green space. You’ll be taught by Brendan Morse, the absolute king of environmental education and by the end of the day, you’ll have mastered the basics of garden and patch design, soil, vegetable growing and seed saving.
