A Ben & Jerry's Pop-Up Is Coming To Takapuna!

In the weeks leading up to Easter, we know how busy life can get—so little time, and so much to do. At the Urban List we believe in the delicate balance of work and play. And by balance we mean 70% play and 30% work (because maths) and #priorities.

We’ve found 5 awesome things for you to do this week that are guaranteed to get your fun balance in order, and keep all of the food and festivities at the top of your agenda.

Monday’s A Jerk At Rosie Campbell

Keep calm and pretend it’s not Monday by heading to Rosie Campbell’s for a delicious Jamaican escape. On Mondays Rosie hosts a jerk-filled evening sans any Monday blues, with an overflow of chill reggae vibes. Enjoy any of their jamai-zing jerk items and Cool Rummings cocktails for just $12 each. Rosie Campbell’s just gets us on a Monday and that’s why we love them.

Free Ben & Jerry’s

Who said Tuesdays were bad? After all, it’s a sign you survived Monday and as a reward, Ben & Jerry’s are giving you free ice cream #win. Score a sweet treat at their annual Free Cone Day across their stores in Manly, Chatswood and Bondi, and Hoyts in Broadway, Penrith and Blacktown. There are almost 30 different lip-smacking, spec-chunkular flavours to choose from (just one scoop? The struggle is real) including New York super fudge chunk and coconut seven layer mar, as well as all time favourite choc chip cookie dough.

Makers Mark At The Argyle

Sometimes we just need a bit of old-fashioned fun and the Maker’s Mark pop-up bar is all about it this week. Held at The Argyle, there will be a series of whisky-themed events including a Kentucky-style barbeque on Fridays, with eats like smoked coffee-rub beef ribs and classic crispy pork belly, paired with a jug of Maker’s Mark and ginger ale. There are also free movie nights on Mondays and a $10 cocktail happy hour from 4pm-7pm, Monday through to Thursday (if you needed an added excuse for an early mark this week). Keep your eyes peeled cos the fun doesn’t stop here, they’ve also got exciting whisky masterclasses lined up for the next couple of weeks too.

Easter At The Grounds

What’s more tantalising than 400kg of rich milky chocolate? Nothing. For the third year in a row,  Australia’s largest, hollow chocolate Easter egg is on show at The Grounds, and it’s a vision you’ll want to drool all over. Inspired by Humpty Dumpty, this chocolate egg is safely perched on its very own brick wall, ready for your next #Instaselfie. But if viewing the masterpiece is not enough, the annual community cracking ceremony kicks off at 2pm Easter Sunday, so you can score a shard (or 10) of the delicious milk chocolate.

What: Easter at the Grounds of Alexandria
When: All week, and the cracking ceremony Sunday 16 April, 2pm
Where: The Grounds, 2 Huntley Street, Alexandria
