This week, you do you. No really, you. Do. You. We’ve rounded up the best of the best in Sydney this week and they’re all about treating yo’ self. Head along to a calming AF yoga class or a DIY fragrance workshop (or both), followed by a well-needed movie sesh, a must see foodie talk with Dr Libby and an ahhhmazing art and science festival.
There is absolutely no way your week will be boring if we have anything to say about it. Hop to it guys—here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.
Monday 18 September
The Wardrobe DIY Fragrance
Monday’s don’t have to be ughh-worthy when DIY fragrance classes are on. And thanks to Castle Towers and their month-long beauty and fashion pop-up, they are most definitely on. So if you’re all about perfumes and smelling like a fresh little daisy, you can now master the art of creating your very own signature scent from the geniuses at Cult of Scent, as part of The Wardrobe’s many fashion, beauty and lifestyle workshops at Castle Towers.
Where: Castle Towers, Castle Hill
When: 12:30pm - 4:30pm 18 September - 29 September

Yoga Classes @ The Sustainable Salon
We have a feeling this is exactly what you’re looking for to kick start your work week. The Sustainable Salon in Surry Hills weekly hosts yoga classes, rolling out the mats each Monday evening so you can get your zen on. Because we all know Mondays are THE WORST, or at least, they used to be.

Tuesday 19 September
Queer Screen Film Festival
Kicking off this Tuesday, the Queer Screen Film Festival is back baby for it’s fifth year! It’s your chance to see a tonne of well known and emerging international films, and a dollar from each ticket sold goes to The Equality Campaign (we love a good cause)!

Wednesday 20 September
Food Frustrations With Libby Weaver
Nutritional biochemist, Dr. Libby Weaver, is coming to Sydney town this week. This woman is an absolute legend, debunking nutrition myths on the daily and generally just helping all of us out, because #thatfitlife is hard. She’s bringing all her nutritional and scientific research and making it ridiculously easy to understand what you should eat, when and why. This Wednesday, catch Dr. Libby talking about all the confusion surrounding food and coming from a legit doctor herself, our ears are open.
Where: University of Sydney, Camperdown
When: 7pm-9pm, 20 September
Cost: Tickets from $39.95, grab your tickets here.
The Big Anxiety Festival
We’ve been waiting for this to kick off for a while, and the time has finally come Sydney. The Big Anxiety Festival is headed to Sydney; a mental health festival exploring all things arts, science and people. Over two months across Sydney, there’ll be 60 events tackling everything from those awkward AF convos to mood experiments (think how environments effect your moods), and lived experiences (so you can understand anxiety IRL). Grab all the info here.
Where: Various locations
When: 20 September – 11 November
Here are even more things to do this September.
