8 Events You Won’t Want To Miss At Spectrum Now

By Sophia Fukunishi - 07 Mar 2016

Being big craft beer fans that we are, here at The Urban List, we know any event is best enjoyed with a majorly refreshing beer in hand. We’ve teamed up with one of our all time faves beers, Little Creatures, to bring you our picks of the best out-of-the-box events at Spectrum Now!

A brewery that embraces their creative side—they’ve been supporting the arts community for over 15 years—we love that Little Creatures beers don’t taste like every other beer out there because, like Little Creatures, we’re big fans of the unique and the out-of-the-ordinary. With epic breweries in Fremantle and Geelong, Little Creatures is a local-loving little family of beers who are proud to be a little bit different—they’re unpasteurized, use whole hop flowers (fancy), and are brewed with the same enthusiasm and passion today as the day they began, more than a decade ago.

Here are our picks of the best, little-bit-different (but 100% awesome) events at Spectrum Now we’ll be scoping out this year, Little Creatures in hand, naturally.

Sure, we could go see all the headline acts at this cultural extravaganza—which, let’s be honest, we probably will—but it’s the smaller, more unusual events that have piqued our interest at this year’s Spectrum Now festival—which kicks off in Sydney on March 1.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your crew, a cold one, and hop to it! (See what we did there…?)

Arts & Craft After Dark

Calling all kidults! Yes, that’s right, we’re talking to you. If spending the evening getting crafty with pipe cleaners, egg cartons and crayons sounds like your kind of deal (which it should), then this art and craft night for grown ups is for you. Hosted by comedian Tim Ross and artist Sam Cranstoun, Arts & Craft After Dark is going to be one helluva night. Who said kids should have all the fun?

Pick yourself up some delicious eats, a Little Creatures and kick back in The Domain.

St Germain

French producer, St Germain will be gracing our shores for the first time in 15 years and we’re juuuuust a little bit excited about the whole thing. A huge influence in the world of electronic music, St Germain blends jazz with electro loops and vocal samples, creating super cool, super listenable music. Get your hands on these tickets because, if Sydney is as thrilled about this as we are, it’s sure to sell out.
