It is safe to say that October is looking pretty awesome in Sydney and with all the fun activities coming our way this weekend is no exception. Whether you feel like revitalizing your mind, body and soul with a bit of yoga, some grooving music, lots of wholesome food, (maybe a bit of booze here and there) we have you covered.
So hold onto your margaritas, this weekend is going to be jam-packed with some really awesome (and inspiring) events!
Drink an U.G.L.Y Margarita For Cancer
Good news! Here’s your chance to drink all the margaritas Sydney has to offer and not feel at all guilty about it, wooo (but maybe just not as many as Ross did from Friends where he was ‘fine’). This October, the Tex-Mex diner, El Camino Cantina is encouraging all of its customers to help support cancer research charities, such as the Leukaemia Foundation. The annual hospitality industry runs a fundraising competition, known as U.G.L.Y (Understanding Generous Likeable You) Bartender of the Year 2016. El Camino Catina will donate $1 for every 15oz U.G.L.Y Margarita purchased, and $2 for every 24oz U.G.L.Y Margarita. Also, every $80 raised helps the Leukaemia Foundation to help those with blood cancer and their carer have a home away from home as they are going through their treatment. So go on, give something back to those who need it most and enjoy a glass or 10 of margaritas … Olé!
