Some of Australia’s finest and favourite gourmet providores are moving into the Queen Victoria Building from 3rd – 7th August and it’ll be five days of straight up feasting. The recreation of the Queen Victoria Market on level one will pay homage to the QVB’s golden years as a thriving marketplace for fresh farm produce and groceries, but with an obvious 2016 twist.
This is your chance to hit up some of our Sydney favourites that we bang on about all the time. Leave your diet at home because Salt Meats Cheese will be doing some epic toasties including a three cheese and truffle mushroom variety as well as a three cheese and ham for a decadent take on your usual ham and cheese. There will also be truffle pasta, oil, truffle pecorino and brie for sale, so get excited.
Suddenly your day will be looking up when you cruise past the Sonoma stand and pick up a freshly baked loaf of artisan sourdough, before swinging by Pepe Saya who’ll will be handing out their signature cultured butter. Who are you kidding? Buy a large take home pack for later. You know you want to.
Mr Cook will also set up shop underneath the dome, to deliver your daily dose of pretty with a colourful display of ready-to-go bunches of fresh flowers. Also making an appearing will be Spoon & Fork, Doughnut Time, Kikko Cafe, Koko Black and Vanto, among others.
