Willy Wonka, eat your heart out. This September, Sydney’s chocoholics and sweat treat fanatics will be treated to dessert festival of their dreams. Control your excitement and prepare for a sugar high because, with over 80 exhibitors showcasing their decadent desserts, the weekend will be worth every uncounted calorie.
There’ll be stalls hosted by our much loved faves, including Black Star Pastry showing off their famous watermelon cake with a little white chocolate surprise (can that cake actually get any better?!) as well as My Donut Box offering their pretty rainbow unicorn donuts alongside chocolate kebabs (!) by Original Chocowrap and KCon will be debuting their new dessert, The Crazy Cronut Stick.
Of course, with all those sweets, you’re going to need something to wash them down with, so to help quench the thirst of festival goers, Bilpin Cider will have their very own Cider Garden Bar where visitors can relax by the harbour. And that’s not all. The chocolatiers quarters will also house artisan products, including a Lindt Lounge, so you can chill out between stalls, because eating chocolate can be oh-so tiring.
The Callebaut Test Kitchen will again pop up, where some of Sydney’s best dessert chefs will show you how it’s all done.
So start stocking up on savouries and save yourself for the sweetest event of the year.
