Before we dive head first into all the deliciousness that is this food festival, can we all take a minute to thank the Sydney Festival gods? Honestly, every year this festival is the gift that keeps on giving, and this time it’s a bloody food festival in the heart of the CBD. Okay, here are the specifics.
On 5 January (oh yeah, we’re already talking about 2018) The Meriton Festival Village will pop-up in Hyde Park and that means the Glitterbox, Karaoke Carousel and that delicious food we spoke about earlier will be coming with it. There’ll be foodie goods from people like Gelato Messina, who’ll be reinventing childhood classics (think the Golden Gaytime, Splice and Milo Cup) and Mary’s who’re bringing mushroom burgers and fried chicken. But there are also a few of Sydney’s (other) best—including the teams from Alpha Restaurant, Bodega Cantina, Happy As Larry and El Capo Food Truck (there’s gotta be one).
So once you’re done belting it out on the carousel and cutting shapes in the Glitterbox, head here and go HAM. More details here.
