A Series Of Alfresco Long-Table Dinners Are Coming To Sydney!

By Urban List Writers
30th Nov 2017

Remember when we told you that you can bring your dog to the American Express Openair Cinemas in the Inner West this summer?

Well, that same cinema is throwing some crazy cool events that you seriously need to sign yourself up for, including craft masterclasses and a series of alfresco long-table dinners by Sydney's purveyors of fine food and authentic Italian cuisine, Salt Meats Cheese.

Stefano De Blasi and Edoardo Perlo (the insanely talented cousin-duo behind Salt Meats Cheese) will be transporting diners to the streets of Naples as they host a series of alfresco long-table dinners. A delicious three-course meal paired with wine will be served at three one-of-a-kind events throughout the cinema season.

If "three-course meal" wasn't enough to get you salivating (who even are you?!), prepare yourself for the signature Salt Meats Cheese Truffle Pecorino Pasta; cheesy truffle pasta tossed through a wheel of truffle pecorino, finished with a grating of extra truffle pecorino, along with their arancini antipasti and wood-fired pizzas.

Plus, there will be a whole slew of special desserts on offer. We're talking cheesecake on a stick in four ways; Nutella lover (creamy cheesecake dipped in Nutella, sprinkled with a trio of chocolate shavings and Oreo crumble), Unicorn (sprinkle-encrusted cloud-like cheesecake), Spring into Summer (rich vanilla cheesecake glazed with white chocolate, flower petals and violet crystals) and the Tutti Frutti (New York style Cheesecake topped with juicy fruit). Don't forget your stretchy pants.

And if you're just there for the date with your dog (no judgement here), your pooch can enjoy the VID treatment with a pawfect picnic platter of doggy delights and their very own canine couch. Too cute!

If you’re a craft-addict, you might like to know that your chance to watch movies and learn the art of knitting is here. Plus, don't miss your chance to meet World Master Pizza Making Champion and Australia’s Got Talent star, Youssef Touati from Salt Meats Cheese, who will be flexing his credentials with pizza acrobatics before teaching you how to toss dough like a pro.

To top it all off, the bar will be serving all your favourite cocktails as well as Sydney summer must-drinks like Frosé, Aperol Spritz, 4Pines craft beer and Giesen Wine and cocktails by Melbourne Martini. Don't panic, there will be popcorn too. Phew!
