Be still our beating wine loving-hearts because all of our dreams are about to come true! Yep, coming to the Sydney burb of St Peters later this month, is an urban winery—not just a cellar door—but an entire winery.

The man behind this genius plan is Alex Retief from A.Retief wines, who will bring his drops to our wine-loving palates from late September.

There will be a cellar door and—wait for it—a tasting bar complete with cheese and charcuterie (take a moment, and calm yourself) will showcase their range of cool climate wines. These are the same drops that some of Sydney’s best restaurants have on their wine lists—we’re talking Quay and Rockpool Bar & Grill for starters.

You can also expect special events, chef lunches and other fun wine-fuelled soirees once the Urban Winery officially opens its doors. There will also be the chance to up your own wine game, with blending master classes, tours and tutored tastings. Cheers!

The Urban Winery opens on Wednesday 21 September from 4pm.
