Reality check, it’s already that time of year where the OG outdoor cinema closes its gates and undeniably forces us to hibernate into buying tickets to well, normal theatres with roofs and stuff.

But the crew here are taking away some of the horrific pain by signing out of summer with one star-pumped movie, we’re talking Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs and ICYMI it features the glorious voices of Jeff Goldblum (melt), Greta Gerwig, Scarlett Johansson (double melt), Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Bill Murray.

The film follows the journey of a young boy out to rescue his pup Spots, who has been quarantined to an island with a heap of other dogs after an outbreak of canine flu wreaks havoc in Japan. Along the way, he teams up with a pack of so-called ‘misfit’ mutts and inspires a group of dog-enthusiasts to expose a government conspiracy. We know, so many layers. Which means, it’ll be hella awesome.

FYI, there have been sold-out screenings internationally which means you should probably already be booking those tickets right here.

Oh and heads up, you’ll be among the first to see the acclaimed stop-motion animation because the actual film doesn’t come out in Aussie theatres until a week later #aheadofthetimes.
