Sydney weather is heating up this week and so are we. No really, if you’ve made it through the damn hot weekend then you’ll know what we mean. This week we’re getting cultured AF with watercolour painting, plus a Harry Potter theatre show, and obviously we’re ringing in the sunshine with more rosé and food than we can handle.

Here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.

Monday 25 September

Lunchtime Yoga In The Royal Botanical Gardens

Is there a better way to ease back into the working week than with downward dog in the Royal Botanical Gardens? Nope. This is peak relaxation. Not only will this help you work on that summer bod (and work off the guilt of all the cocktails you knocked back on Saturday night), a mid-day stretch will help you power through the arvo. Count us in

When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 25 September - 27 November
Where: Lawn above the Calyx, Royal Botanical Gardens
Cost: Free

Watercolour & Wine

Release your inner artisté this week with Watercolour and Wine at the Tramsheds, where you’ll combine the best of both words—art and wine. No matter if you’re a total beginner (ahem, us) or a total pro, you’ll learn everything there is to know about colour mixing, watercolour-ing and other artsy skills (did we mention we're beginners?). Oh yeah, and there's wine involved. Winning.

When: Monday 25 September, 7pm -9pm
Where: Tramsheds Harold Park
Cost: Tickets from $21.89pp

Tuesday 26 September

Jetpack Presents: Unplotted Potter

HP fans, this one’s for you. Unplotted Potter is happening this week, and it’ll take you behind the scenes and into the lives of all the lesser-known characters, the ones you probably didn’t notice amidst the Harry-Hermione-Ron love triangle. Each night you’ll see the life story of a different out-of-the-spotlight character and be wowed by the seriously fab cast, including national theatre sports and improv champs, Jack Ballhausen and Jim Fishwick, as well as Confetti Gun’s Maddie Parker. Details here.

When: Tuesday 26 September, Thursday 28 September & Saturday 30 September, from 8:15pm
Where: Factory Theatre, Marrickville
Cost: $20 General Admission, $15 Concession

Friends Trivia Night

Calling all die-hard Friends fans—this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Yes, finally your obscene amount of Friends-related trivia will be put to use. If ever there was a time to prove you know allllll the words to Smelly Cat, what Chandler’s job is, and how many babies Phoebe has had, this trivia night is it. This’ll be a night of Friends-themed cocktails and competition fiercer than Ross and Monica at Thanksgiving, with $100 cash money up for grabs. Grab yo’ friends (sorry, we had to) and get ready to test yo’ knowledge on the show that gave us ten seasons and 236 episodes of love and LOLs.

When: Tuesday 26 September, 7pm
Where: Side Bar
Cost: Free

Wednesday 27 September

Yes Way Rosé

Somewhere between its Insta-worthy pink hue and delish taste, rosé became the wine of the people and ‘Yes Way Rosé’ was born. This week a spring dinner dedicated to the good stuff is happening, and it’s basically one big celebration of fashion, food and wine. Specifically, the event is a spring wine tasting dinner by LOT.1’s executive chef, Adam Swanson, with paired wines and bottomless rosé (yes, bottomless).

When: Wednesday 27 September, 6:30-10pm
Where: LOT.1 Sydney
Cost: $102pp
