We're absolutely here for this week. Especially because it brings frozen sake, a rooftop cinema for all the post-work antics and one dollar dumplings.
Here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.
Monday 15 October
The sweeties over at Sweethearts Rooftop are bringing us a classic (well, newly classic) flick to the big screen. Get ready to put on your tap shoes and shuffle over to watch La La Land. Who can resist dreamy Ryan Gosling? Absolutely no one. This musical rom-com is something all of our hearts deserve to watch. Head here for more.
When: Monday 15 October, 7:30-12am
Where: Sweethearts Rooftop, Potts Point
Tuesday 16 October
Are you ready to celebrate World Sake Day? Of course, you are. Goros is giving us a full-on Japanese style blowout that’ll leave all our tummy’s happy. We know you’ve heard of frosé, but have you heard of frozen sake?. Well whatever it’s called, you’ll get a complimentary glass upon arrival along with mains like fish tacos to munch on next to all your arcade and karaoke shenanigans. Jump over here for tickets.
When: Tuesday 16 October, 7-12am
Where: Goros, Surry Hills
Cost: $55 per person
Wednesday 17 October
CREATE YOUR OWN SKINCARE
All you DIY lovers out there this one is calling your name. If you’ve always wanted to make something that your skin won’t immediately break out from, then you need to check this out. Broadway Sydney is hosting a create your own skincare session on their rooftop level. This is all part of their ‘Festival of You’. For tickets, check this out.
When: Wednesday 17 October, 12-2pm
Where: Level 4 Rooftop Broadway Shopping Centre, Ultimo
Cost: $5 per person
THE SIMPSONS TRIVIA
The Governor Hotel is bringing us trivia on the world’s favourite family. Brush up on who shot Mr Burns, Bart’s twin brothers name or Moe’s soap opera character. You’ll be shouting all the way there how smart you are. But in case you have forgotten, here are some words that rhyme with Corey: glory, story allegory, Montessori. And if you do end up getting some answers wrong, just say ‘I didn’t do it’. Head here for more details.
When: Wednesday 17 October, 7-10pm
Where: The Governor Hotel, Macquarie Park
Your resident Japanese-fusion bar in Potts Point is churning out some serious happiness this Wednesday. We mean the juiciest dumplings for pretty much next-to-nothing. If you've got a few spare coins stashed away, this joint is absolutely yours for the taking.
When: Wednesday 17 October, 12pm-10pm
Where: Crane Bar, Potts Point
Here are all the shows you *need* to binge this month.
