May is upon us, and whilst our Instagram feeds are filling up with bikini-clad bodies from the other side of the world (thanks America), us Sydneysiders are beginning to feel the cold.
But ladies and gents, this is noooo excuse to stay inside, because Sydney is offering up some hot options this week. Here are our top five things to do.
MCA: Kader Attia
When you’ve just won France’s most prestigious art award, Prix Marcel Duchamp, you’re kiiiiind of a big deal. Which is why we’re delighted Kader Attia has decided to visit us Down Under with some of his finest works. Kader explores the theme of trauma in this solo exhibition through pieces that depict injury, ‘phantom pains’, and therapy. It’s painstakingly wonderful.

It’s an Australian rite of passage to participate in yoga poses whilst under the influence of alcohol. Positions may have included the ‘trying to stand up straight’ pose, to the more advanced, ‘get-out-of-the-uber-without-falling-on-your-face’ pose. If you want to improve these postures, Rocks Brewing Co are offering a yoga class in their brewery to enhance your practise. For 60 mins enjoy a yoga session, where half a pint awaits you after class. OM-g, count us in!

There’ll also be a Wild Turkey gold rush cocktail, which is as fun as it sounds, and a bourbon-themed food menu featuring smoked turkey wings with a peach and bourbon sauce and a wagyu bourbon burger. This will double as the launch of an art gallery with works from Nikolaus Dolman, Bertie Blackman, Will Coles each piece is crafted onto a Wild Turkey white oak barrel lids.
