Opening tomorrow night, October the 2nd, Veuve Clicquot champagne will be hosting a gorgeous pop-up bar in The Mint Sydney. Running throughout spring, the Bullion Bar features indoor and outdoor areas—a real highlight is taking a glass of bubbly in the heritage-listed vault!
For those balmy evenings you can stroll through the historical gardens or perhaps dine at one of the umbrella-dotted tables. Award-winning chef Brad Jones has curated the menu; we highly recommend you try the pulled pork sliders and apple slaw—delicious.
The Sydney Royal Mint was built in 1854 in response to Australia's Gold Rush, the large amounts of circulating gold was housed here. Heritage features at the mint include; the lovely old sandstone walls, stained glass windows, and of course the steel stronghold vault.
Entering through a vast doorway, today the vault is stocked to the brim with Veuve Clicquot champagne, the modern-day moonshine perhaps . . . The Bullion Bar is available for hire for up to 40 guests and the vault for intimate dinners for 16.
