Whether you’re a licker, a biter, or a spooner (bear with me…), you’d have to agree that ice-cream is the ultimate go-to dessert. Hey, where was your head? We’re talking about ice-cream...

If, like us, you love yourself a delicious treat, you’re going to want to grab a spoon and get down to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at The Rocks this May for what promises to be an ice-cream lover’s dream destination: Häagen-Dazs™ House, home to some of the most mouth-watering flavours of our fave frozen dish, is coming to Sydney for the very first time—and we can’t WAIT to wrap our mouths around their latest creations.

Opening on Saturday 7 May and running until 11pm on Saturday 21 May, Häagen-Dazs™ House brings with it some incredible opportunities to get up-close and personal with exactly what goes into their world-renowned, super-premium ice-cream. With over 55 years making some of the best ice-cream in the world, it’s safe to say that these guys know what they’re talking about when it comes to creating the perfect scoop.

Want to discover more about your own palate and become a bona fide ice-cream buff? Head to The. Ultimäte. Tasting.—an evening that teaches you all about professional ice-cream tasting and understanding what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to favour combos. It will be hosted by some of the Häagen-Dazs™ team’s best taste testers (um, dream job??!)

If you’re less about learning and more of a get-in-my-mouth-right-now ice-cream appreciator, you can drop into Häagen-Dazs House to try some of their twelve incredible flavours at any time during the pop-up’s residency in at The Rocks. Starting with four key top-notch ingredients—fresh cream, milk, eggs and sugar—combined with drool-worthy additions that include everything from strawberries to spearmint leaves, bourbon vanilla to Japanese matcha powder, we’ve heard rumour that the Häagen-Dazs™ team are bringing only their best flavours to Australian shores for us eager dessert lovers to sample. We have a feeling we’ll be ditching dinner in favour of chowing down on more than a few scoops…

And for all you Listers who love nothing more than a night in with your trusty Netflix and a tub of ice cream, you can pick up your very own pint of Häagen-Dazs™ for a mere $15 from the pop-up until 21 May, when closes its doors while it decides on its next destination. But you’d better be quick – they’re only bringing a limited number of tubs to Australian shores, so you’ll need to snap yours up, pronto!

Having already sold out the tasting sessions at its Melbourne pop-up within 48 hours of opening, Häagen-Dazs™ House has received rave reviews to date. Hungry ice-cream fans visited the dessert destination from early afternoon to well into the night, with the incredible Green Tea take home tubs selling out within a weekend (don't panic, they're now re-stocked!). Whether you’re crazy for macadamia nut brittle or salivating over the thought of salted caramel, Häagen-Dazs™ House is shaping up to be one of the must-visit pop-ups of the year.
