Have You Tried The Bourbon Burgel?

Hold up, what the hell is a Bourbon Burgel? Is burgel even a word and more importantly, is it delicious? Everyone who’s anyone is apparently trying this latest food WTF creation, and we have to admit guys, we are pretty intrigued.

The Bourbon Burgel is the latest creation coming to an Instafeed (or is it a story?) near you thanks to Chicken & Sons. The end result when burger meets bacon meets bourbon, treat your taste buds to a bun that is a hybrid creation of a sesame-seed bagel with traditional burger bun, filled with Angus beef pattie, American cheese, pickles (of course), special sauce, bourbon glazed bacon, a few jalapenos, and a good lashing of bourbon (shock) barbecue sauce. It is then finished with one final crispy piece of bourbon glazed bacon, because you can never have enough bacon, and a shot of Bulleit Bourbon.

There are a few rules to doing the Bourbon Burgel like the pros:

First, shot the bourbon

Then, eat the bacon

Finally, down the burger

The Bourbon Burgel is available Friday and Saturday nights, at the Bald Faced Stag in Leichhardt and The White Horse in Surry Hills, at $22 each.
