What if we were to tell you that there is a moonlight cinema popping up over four glorious days this long weekend? Well, we just did, and you’re welcome. Yep, cue the popcorn, choc tops and paella because this hotspot is cranking up that projector and you’re invited.
The Woolwich Open Air Cinema is serving up some absolute cracker blockbusters and short films, so fire up the group text and get ready for one helluva bean bag sesh.
Flicks-wise, we’re talking some Pixar nostalgia with Finding Nemo, a showing of the utterly hilarious talk of the town film by the name of Crazy Rich Asians, and get your dose of our fave young heartthrobs Hugh Grant and Matt Damon in both Notting Hill and Good Will Hunting.
As for the always important movie snacks, expect the usual candy bar favourites as well as epic charcuterie platter boxes with all the works, succulent porchetta and slaw rolls and chorizo and chicken paella. Or you can pack your own picnic if you’re feeling ultra-domestic. You may not be able to BYO booze, but don’t fear because there is no shortage of tipples to accompany your delish snackaroos. Thyme G&T’s, Aperol Spritz’, frothies and vinos are all on offer.
Gates open at 4pm every day and the movies are kicking off at 6:15pm so we’re thinking you should rock up early to perch yourself in the midst of the oh-so-stunning lower north shore surroundings.
