Heads Up | Australia’s Getting A Garlic Bread Festival Next Month

By James Shackell - 22 Feb 2018

Anyone need some Extra gum? Here you go. It’s peppermint. You’re welcome.

The only reason we ask is because next month Welcome To Thornbury are throwing an honest-to-god Garlic Bread Festival (!!) If we had more exclamation marks we’d use them, because this sounds like all kinds of smelly, vitamin-rich fun.

Here’s a little sneak preview of what to expect. Garlic bread burgers from the crew at Mr Burger (just quietly, why has no-one done this before?), garlic naan tacos from Curry Up Now, and more artisan garlic bread than you can shake a baguette at.

The guys behind the bar will be slinging the usual range of craft beers, wine and cocktails (and hopefully breath mints). Kiddies and pups are welcome, as normal. The full food truck line-up will be announced in the coming weeks, so watch this space.

If you currently reside in Melbourne, get excited. And if not, get yourself the hell there! This is the one time you want to be filling up on bread.

The Details

Where: Welcome to Thornbury, 520 High St Northcote
