Massimo Bottura is one of the world’s best chefs, which you would totally know if you’re a Masterchef devotee (guilty), or a die-hard foodie. Next month, the man himself is teaming up with OzHarvest for one night only to host a charity dinner at their HQ in Alexandria.
We know this one’s a bit exxy, but if you’ve been trying to appeal to your philanthropist boss with the deep pockets, then we recommend you forward this one on to them. There’ll be nine chefs cooking the degustation—we’re talking about Josh Niland (Saint Peter), Clayton Wells (Automata), James Viles (biota) and Rob Cockerill (Bennelong), for starters.
The food will be designed around food that would have otherwise gone to waste, as is OzHarvest’s M.O. In case you (or your boss) needed anymore convincing, as you wolf down your meal, you’ll also learn about Bottura’s plight to eliminate food wastage, along with OzHarvest founder and foodie rockstar, Ronni Khan. All of the proceeds from the evening will go directly to OzHarvest and Bottura’s non-profit organisation, Food for the Soul.
