A couple of months ago Copenhagen scored some pretty beautiful Growrooms courtesy of IKEA and their innovation lab (yes, lab) Space10. Not sure what a Growroom is? Well, it’s exactly what your imaging—a room, where things grow.
These sphere-shaped “rooms” are basically one big vertical garden designed by IKEA to save space, grow sweet, delicious produce and promote sharing. They’re nice like that. Back in February when they launched, you could download the instructions to DIY one of your very own at home, but now (finally) the Growrooms are hitting Sydney. The location is Hickson Reserve, so you can bet your flat pack that it’ll have an epic view and will just as lush as you’d expect.
But wait, there’s more (forgive the cheese—this is exciting news). You can book your spot at an extra special dinner inside the Growroom, or just trot along while it’s set up and have a cheeky squiz without dishing out for the dinner. The choice is yours people.
Head here for the (admittedly limited) deets.
