Guys, it’s time to say CYA to your usual hit list of pubs in Surry Hills, because a rum distillery is headed our way and yaaassss. Brix Distillery is the first traditional rum distillery to open its doors in Sydney for the first time in over two centuries so it’s kind of a big deal. Folks, we not playing around here when we say these guys take their rum very (read: extremely) seriously.
All the top notch spirits to come out of Brix’s Bourke Street Distillery will be ten thousand percent handcrafted. And they firmly believe they’re creating the perfect tipple to be enjoyed alongside some of the amazing food Sydney has to offer—we agree. The distillery, cellar and potential space for another ripper restaurant will all celebrate the heart of Brix’s passion, AKA rum.
Not only will you be sipping the goods, but you can also get a little hands on and learn how they craft their ultra-premium product, dive deep into the history of the timeless spirit and uncover your new-found love for the beautiful golden liquid. Brix plan on redefining the way rum is looked at in Sydney, and we can’t wait to see what else they have in store.
