Long lunches are what our spring dreams are made of and this month, the Champagne Room at The Winery is bringing all of the bubbly goods to you good Sydney people. As part of the Festival of Senses, they’re hosting two events and just a little bit of prior warning – you may suddenly become very thirsty and keen to get amongst the other spring vibes.
Bottomless Bellinis Ladies Lunch
First up on the Champagne Room event calendar is Bottomless Bellinis. It's a long lunch that basically boils down to three fabulous hours of quaffing endless bellinis and scoffing three spring themed courses. It makes sense that it’s part of the flavours, aromas and textures portion of the festival, because this menu has all of those things. Think porcini arancini with goats cheese, parmesan, gorgonzola and aioli and a champagne spider tower with sorbet, strawberries and rose petals. It’ll take place every single weekend in September and will cost you $70 per person, but did we mention the bottomless bellinis?
“I can’t believe it’s not champagne!” Sparkling Wine Dinner Series
This is the event for those times when your heart says Champagne, but your wallet says sparkling wine. The three-course dinner will come with four paired sparkling wines that will show you the right wines to buy once and for all, because we get it – choosing a good sparkling wine is TOUGH. The dinner series will take place every Thursday night through September and it’ll set you back a sneaky $69. Bookings are essential, so get on that.
