9 Sneakers Being Released In May That You Need To Buy

Whether you’re looking to update your sneaker rotation, or just add another pair to the collection, May is throwing up some excellent drops with a focus around wearable colourways with pops of bright hues.

Nike React Element 55

The Nike React Element 55 has an upper inspired by the Nike Internationalist atop a Nike React sole. The shoe takes its name from the most reactive element, Cesium, atomic number 55.

Delivering a smooth ride, the React technology allows for all-day wear due to its insanely durable and comfortable cushioning. With design nods to the Nike Internationalist via the wavy lines of the eyestay and heel clip, Nike is taking it a step further. Consumers will be able to customise the shoes aesthetic with Nike By You, experimenting with the upper, various trim and lace materials and some loud colour palettes.

Nike React Element 87 “Dusty Peach” & “Moss”

This latest drop sees the popular React Element 87 silhouette dressed in “Dusty Peach” and “Moss”, two subtle and sleek colourways. “Dusty Pink” sees hues of blue, purple and yellow cover the TPE upper, while the “Moss” colourway sports green, brown and orange.

adidas Yung-96 “X-Model Pack – Night Vision”

Stripping the Yung-96 silhouette right back, adidas are offering this latest charcoal rendition of the sneaker as part of it’s “Night Vision” pack.

The upper is panelled leather with an iridescent design on the side panel. Dressed in a tonal grey, pops of neon green liven up the kit with a black outsole and laces to complete the kicks.

Nike P-6000 CNPT

This new Nike Running silhouette is an easy addition to your sneaker rotation.

This wearable colourway sees the top half treated in black and the bottom in white, with its laces carrying out the same colour theme. The P-6000 CNPT sees additional Swoosh logos added to the heel, and the Nike stamp logo donned on the tongue.

Nike React Presto “Brutal Honey”

Using their React foam to elevate this lifestyle silhouette, you can see obvious design inspiration from the OG Presto, with some reinterpreted elements.

Specifically, the modified mid-foot cage and chunkier mid-sole, giving the silhouette the appearance of a higher heel off-set.

Alife x adidas Consortium Nizza Hi Collaboration

New York brand Alife has revamped the Nizza Hi, and it looks sick.

The off-white canvas upper makes these effortlessly wearable, with pops of colour via the two distinctive wristbands, wrapping around the ankle in red and blue tones, reading Alife’s “A Way of Life™” slogan.

Travis Scott x Jordan 1 “Cactus Jack”

The unexpected release of these during Travis Scott’s GRAMMY performance generated even more hype around the Jordan x Travis team-up. And with another release recently dropped, your best bet is to cop the at resale value. Steep prices, but worth it?

Subtle tones dress the upper, with details like the backward Swoosh design, Cactus Jack heel embossing, mismatched insoles and a hidden stash pocket stitched into the ankle collar.
