Sydney Has Just Upped Its Sustainable Coffee Cup Game

By Ange Law - 24 Jul 2017

As we learnt from our recent article on allllll of Sydney’s responsible cafes, you lot are pretty into this whole sustainability thing. Well guys, so it seems is our city, with the City of Sydney announcing they’ll be dropping some serious dosh on one of our fave (and super helpful) websites, Responsible Cafes

Basically this is the place to head if you’re looking for the most up to date information on which of your local cafes will give you a cheeky discount for bringing in a reusable cup. Not only is this great for the environment, but it also comes in handy when it’s the day before pay day and your fishing for coins in the bottom of your wallet to buy your mandatory cup of Joe. We’ve all been there.

This is a pretty hot topic at the moment (as it should be), with the news that supposedly environmentally conscious takeaway cups are, well, not so environmentally conscious. ICYMI we also found out last week that major supermarket chains Woolworths, Coles, and Harris Farm will be phasing out plastic bags by the end of the year, so it’s a damn good time to be Australian guys.
