We love our meat and we love it roasted any day of the week, but there's something about the rite of a traditional Sunday roast that makes things a little different. Whether you're looking for an easy $15 plate or a gourmet cut of pork belly complete with crackling, there'll be something below for your taste buds.

Four in Hand is the discerning meat lover's haven. In addition to a mouthwatering degustation and dining menu, those seeking a more casual meal can find plenty of pared back options on the bar food menu where you'll come across the glorious Sunday roast for $28. It's not hard to see why Four in Hand is renowned for its roast meats – get your fix of unctuous pork belly with crisp crackling, roast vegetables and rich gravy. Of course, if mere slices won't satiate carnivorous appetite, you can always order a whole roast suckling pig with trimmings for ten people.

Dove & Olive | Surry Hills

Generous cuts of tender meat, roast pumpkin, potato and carrots garnished with gravy? For a mere $15? Look no further than Dove & Olive. The pub's laidback ambience ensures that it's the perfect spot to stumble out of bed and amble along to on a Sunday. Grab a seat on the balcony with your roast, an early cocktail or beer and have yourself an enviable Sunday.

Hotel Centennial | Woollahra

Forget brunch, embrace the original meal times and book yourself in for a lunch at the Hotel Centennial, where they'll serve up the Roast of the Day with all the usual trimmings. It's a bit pricier than usual lunches at $35, but with a kitchen headed by Justin North, former chef and owner of Bécasse, you know it'll be nothing short of impeccable.

The Duck Inn | Chippendale

The roast at The Duck Inn gives you a bit more scope to alter your preferences – will you go for the Riverine sirloin or the spice crusted pork loin? Both are accompanied by potatoes, parsnips, dutch carrots, green beans and peppery jus, for $24. Add a bit of extra pudding to your meal to make it a clean $30. The menu features a host of other contemporary takes on traditional British food, so if you're still feeling peckish afterwards, go for some bangers and mash or some classic bread and butter pudding.

The Hill Eatery | Bondi

The Hill Eatery's ethos of ethically and locally sourced produce ensures that you're eating the best and the freshest. Their Sunday roast comes with fragrant duck fat potatoes (life-changing), silken mash, greens and more. End your meal with some homemade tiramisu with orange cinnamon liqueur, or rich, flourless chocolate cake.

The Tilbury | Woolloomooloo W

Bring a friend if you're heading in for the roast – at $35 for a massive plate from the rotating roast menu, you're certainly getting your money's worth. If you're sharing between more people, opt for some extra sides like the truffle oil and parmesan mash or for more greens, go for the rocket and parmesan salad, or broccolini with almonds and lemon.

Woolwich Pier Hotel | Woolwich

If you're ever in search of an immersive roast experience, call up Woolwich Pier Hotel, let them know your numbers, and they'll take care of the rest. If you prefer taking matters into your own hands, head over and take a look at the Sunday menu, which features half a roast Thirlmere chicken with carrot purée, roast veg and flavourful jus, for $28. Equally hearty options include the wine-braised lamb shoulder pot pie and the cream velouté salmon pot pie.
