#CookForSyria Sydney

Sydney’s most celebrated chefs are joining forces with UNICEF this month for #CookForSyria to do their bit for children who’ve been displaced by the conflict in Syria. Specifically, the #CookForSyria event is following on from the success of the same event in the UK, in aid of UNICEF Australia’s Syria Crisis Appeal for Children.

The chefs that are coming to the party probably don’t need any introduction, but we’ll do it anyway. Joining forces are Peter Gilmore (Bennelong and Quay), Darren Robertson, Mark Labrooy and Andy Allen (Three Blue Ducks), Mat Lindsay (Ester), Luke Powell (LP’s Quality Meats) and Mitch Orr (Acme & Bar). Syrian sister chefs, Sharon and Carol Salloum from Sydney’s Almond Bar will showcase a selection of traditional Syrian vegetarian dishes as well. To be fair, we could probably go on, because that list only scratches the surface of the line up. Did we mention  you’ll be tucking in to a family-style feast?

The only thing better than feasting on the fruits of the labour of world class chefs, is knowing your feasting is going towards a good cause. You can book your seat here or donate here
