Sydney’s First Zero Waste Food Event Is Here

By Ange Law

Dan the Man has teamed up with Love Waste Collective to host a sustainable zero waste food event and we can’t even. ICYMI, Dan is the man (geddit?) behind those giant grazing platters—so this one is a no brainer.

The feast has been designed with a nose-to-tail ethos, so you can expect one long table decorated with nine dishes including all cuts of a whole lamb and seasonal plant-based side dishes. Repurposing is at the heart of this one, so there won’t be any napkins but rather, hankies from The Social Outfit and all serving ware will be fully compostable.

Once you’re done stuffing yourself silly on all the sweet eats, you’ll head over to the launch party where the good times really get started. Here there’ll be everything from education waste tours to workshops and yes, there’ll be a bar. You can even bring along some food from home for chef Madita Kosch to cook up a few ‘waste not’ canapes.

You’ll want to book this one and you’ll want to book it real fast. Head here
