Sydney’s Getting Its Very Own Hope Mural

For the first time in Australia, Shepard Fairey will be coming to our (sometimes) sunny shores. He’ll be here to paint one of the largest public art murals Sydney’s ever seen, and we’re definitely #excited.

Here as part of Vivid 2017, Fairey (who’s previous works include the OBEY GIANT art project, Barack Obama HOPE campaign, and this year’s ubiquitous ‘We The People’ initiative) will do what he does best at 309 George Street over the course of 5 days.

While he’s in town, you can also catch a selection of his music-themed works on display in Darling Quarter, or as part of the Game-Changer Talks Series.

The Details

What: Shepard Fairy Public Mural Installation
Where: 309 George Street, CBD
When: 12th to 17th June
Cost: Free
