Everyone knows that you haven’t had a birthday/break up/girls night or even a Friday that turned into one hell of a Fri-yay unless you’ve celebrated at least one of these at The Butler.
The Potts Point bar known for that view, those lights and a dedicated espresso martini menu (now that we’ve got your attention) is mixing things up, and proving that what was once old can definitely be new again.
On the pans is newly appointed Head Chef Amber Doig, bringing an Ibero-American menu to Sydney bellies. Let’s just say you’ll want to wrap your laughing gear around her creations more than once. With everything from cured salmon with green apple, habanero and citrus to black pepper and coriander seed pan-seared hanger steak, it’s all better than good and perfect for sharesies.
Now, we know you love your food but we also know you—and that what you’re really here for are the dranks. Introducing Juanita’s, the newly revamped bar named after one of Victoria Street’s most badass former residents, Juanita Nielsen. The story goes that Juanita stood up to developers to defend the very building The Butler and Juanita’s calls home way back in the 70s, before she met a rather untimely and unfortunate end.
Expect seasonable cocktails, wines (obvs) and of course, a selection of small eats. ICYMI we should also mention that Sydney is bloody freezing right now and Juanita’s is the newest addition to Sydney’s fireplace scene. So come, cosy up and down a cocktail or two.
