This Firey Laneway Feast Will Be An Assault On All Senses

By Jessica Best - 21 Sep 2018

It’ll be a feast for your eyes, ears and stomach. Yep, Kensington Street is about to get super dramatic in every sense possible for the closing of the 2018 Sydney Fringe Festival (tear).

It’s called the Last Supper and it’ll feature food from a whole host of excellent Chippendale restaurants,  as well as fire performances, snake charmers, burlesque dancers and rain dancers. Basically, it’s no subtle affair.

Juggernauts of the foodie world (think Olio, Eastside, Mekong, KOI Dessert Bar and Bistrot Gavroche) will take to the streets to curate a massive feast across two separate seatings. To give you an even better picture, the alleys of Spice Alley will be lit (quite literally by lighting designer Benjamin Brockman) and depending on your thirst for adventure, you’ll either be tearing it up at the table or swiping up all the street food for a deliciously-fuelled wander.
