What’s On In Regional NSW This October

By Natasha Gamra - 02 Oct 2018

The sun is returning to our beloved state and we’re pretty damn excited. It's time to get out of the city for the weekend, put your phone away and immerse yourself in the good vibes. We’re talking a wine lover's heaven, side-splitting comedy and vintage fashion. Hooked? Of course you are.

Here’s what’s on in regional NSW this October.

Women Like Us Comedy

Prepare yourself for two-hours of rapid-fire comedy with the hilarious Ellen Brigs and Many Nolan. This duo is touring around regional NSW and they have four stops during October. Women Like Us is all about their comical reflections on the daily struggles they have, failure to parent, beauty and diets are just a few of the many topics they cover. For tickets, head here

Yass Community Markets

The community markets at Yass happen on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Food and craft vendors from the area and the surrounding towns come to feature their products. Orange Wine Festival

Orange has a thriving wine culture that needs to be celebrated!... with a glass of vino of course. This festival is on for 10 days with over 90 events install for those wine-lovers. Get ready for so many tastings you’ll come back with a purple/red looking mouth. Your bank account will be begging you to put down the 8th bottle of Pinot. This pop-up twilight foodie fest is a relaxed way to sink your teeth into a bunch of different cultured foods. Burgers, Beers And Beats

Ok, those are our three favourite words. Cattleyard Brewing Co. is putting on the party of the year in Newcastle. Looking for a cheeky burg and beer? Then this is something you’re gonna want to check out. Chef Tony Harrison will be cooking up beef, chicken and veggie burgers that’ll leave you drooling. Then they’ve got live music from a bunch of DJs that’ll have you groovin’ all night long. Click here for more deets.

Bovine & Swine BBQ

Logan Brae Orchards is one of the oldest apple orchards around and you’ll find this one about five minutes outside of Blackheath. A true hidden gem, this orchard will soon be hosting a number of pop-up events (consider this your official heads up on all their future shindigs) with their Texas-style BBQ the closest in the pipeline.  The team here will be smoking meat through their very own apple wood which basically means a bunch of melt-in-your-mouth feeds for you (and dare we mention the boozy apple juice). Jump here for more.

Vintage Fashion Exhibition

The Charlotte Smith Fashion Collection is heading to Bowral.
