Once a grimy (but insanely popular) nightclub among 18–20 year olds, Club 77 relaunched earlier this year as a more grown up dive bar version of its 20 year old counterpart. They’ve ditched the club label and go by 77 these days and have adjusted the fit out accordingly, with the addition of a long and winding 40-set bar and red neon leather booths throughout.
Pub Life Kitchen has taken over the kitchen from Wednesday through Sunday for dinner, armed with two burgers – the Cheeseburger and the 77Burger. The Cheeseburger (which you may recognise from the Deus Ex Machina pop up last summer) is a classic, featuring a salt aged patty, double cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard. The 77Burger is similar, but keeps it simple with a salt aged beef patty, cheese, pickles, tomato, lettuce and special sauce. Also on offer are their fries and dirty fries, which are topped with cheese and their special sauce.
