The Verdict

Popping up right in the middle of a garden sanctuary is the latest Lotus location. Replacing the old tea house with a decked-out dumpling restaurant, you can wander the grounds and then head in for some well-deserved pork xiao long bao.

With differing lunch, dinner and banquet menus, no visit will ever be the same. We’re talking starting off with crispy skin duck pancakes with chilli hoisin sauce or Sichuan-style pork and prawn wontons.

And if you aren’t peckish in the slightest then you can sit for a spot of Chinese tea, choose from all the greats, jasmine, China lychee and green Chai.
