Umii is a Sydney staple on the Japanese food scene, using only the best Australian produce on offer, their menu has all of the Japanese bases covered. They have an extensive sashimi and nigiri selection and you can either mix and match dishes like the salmon belly aburi with the snapper carpaccio, or you can skip all of the difficult decisions and order one of their share plates instead. The menu doesn't stop with sushi though, because they also have a tapas, dinner and mains menu with winners like lamb cutlets erved in a traditional charcoal pot and a grilled wagyu salad.
Paying homage to their Sydney locale, the dessert menu features a smashed pavlova gelato as well as distinctly Japanese combinations of matcha gelato and matcha roll cake. To balance out the fun, there is also a pretty hefty drinks menu, with cocktails, wine and sake.
