Going out to brunch as a vegan or vegetarian can be daunting sometimes—you never know just how much of the menu at any given cafe is going to be accommodating of your dietary choices. Sure there’ll be at least one or two dishes, but sometimes you want something more adventurous than smashed avo on toast or fruit and granola, you know? Well at Enoki Coffee & Co, Stafford’s newest breakfast spot, you don’t have to worry, because everything on the menu is vego, and almost everything can be made vegan.

Yep, that’s right—nab a table at this cosy cafe and you won’t have to skim over three quarters of the menu, or ask if there’s a vegan option for the waffles (we know you want them), because it’s all vegetarian. With the owners both vegetarian themselves, they’ve made sure your every breakfast desire is taken care of, and tried to ensure the kitchen is ethically and sustainably run to boot.

It may be small, but you shouldn’t find it too hard to score a table, with seating both inside in the mint green interior or out on the sunny footpath. The pale pink front door, meanwhile, is the perfect backdrop to that essential morning coffee ‘gram—just saying.

Once you’ve ordered your chosen morning sip, peruse the menu and you’ll find a plethora of choices. For the sweet tooths, there’s chocolate crumpets with vegan butterscotch, ice cream and melted chocolate or waffles piled with seasonal fruit, banana brulee and maple syrup. More into the savoury morning feeds? Tuck into the likes of potato and rosemary waffles topped with poached eggs (or scrambled tofu), mushrooms, hollandaise and sauteed kale or a bagel loaded with halloumi, sundried tomato, avo, mayo and rocket (and yes, there is vegan halloumi available).

Our favourite part of the menu though, is the small print which says you can get a half serve of most dishes for a 25 percent discount. It may be designed for those with less than hearty appetites, but we’ll be taking it as an opportunity to order ourselves both a sweet and savoury breakfast, obviously.

Do we even need to mention that Enoki Coffee & Co is dog-friendly? We thought not. If you’ve already planned out what you’re ordering, you’ll find everything you need to know before you visit here
