The crew behind much-loved Melbourne venues like Cheri and Higher Ground have just dropped a seriously sleek new venue smack-bang in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It's called The Observatory.
Taking over the old Jardin Tan site, this Euro-inspired garden eatery is a serious upgrade to your ‘Tan visit. Massive windows and indoor trees bring the serenity of the ‘Tan right into the venue. The polished interior with marble bench tops and moody features is a stark and beautiful contrast to the greenery. It’s the kind of place where you could stop for a spritz and accidentally stay an hour or two longer than intended (we won’t judge if you do).
On the menu you’ll find woodfired pizza, hand-rolled pasta, brunch classics, pastries, and spritzes. Basically, the dream all-day dining lineup. There’s also a dedicated kiosk slinging coffee, gelato and snacks making it a lush spot to stop for a mid-walk or jog pitstop. Jot this one down for your next Run Club meetup spot.
