26th Oct 2022

Get excited Perth, because after a string of COVID-affected fests, FRINGE WORLD is back in all its dazzling, confetti-soaked glory from 20 January to 19 February 2023. Our home-grown talent is more than ready to shine alongside a stellar selection of interstate and international performers as Perth celebrates the return of the world’s third-largest FRINGE WORLD (not bad right?!).

The full program isn't due out 'til November, but until then the early release has just dropped, with 170 circus, comedy, theatre and children’s events on sale right now.

We’ve saved you some time by rounding up some of the most fabulous picks to jump on before everyone else gets their act together.

Anita Wigl'it - "Funny Gurl!"

Tickets: $35

Sashay and slay the night away with star of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, Anita Wigl'it, in this one hour, one woman comedy show. Belly laughs are guaranteed as Ms Wigl'it reminisces about her life, sharing personal tales about how one little boy grew into the iconic, hilarious drag queen we know today, with a few dazzling performances thrown in too.

Tickets: $35-$43

These gorgeous men have gained legendary status in WA with their unique meddling of jaw-dropping acrobats, creative storytelling and sexy stunts. This year, they’re returning in the form of Grecian Gods, so whip out your toga and get ready to smash some plates. Their strength will have you gasping, and their show will leave you hooked.

Le Aerial

Tickets: $35-$55

This jaw-dropping circus show may leave you with a little bit of a sore neck, but trust us it's worth it. You won't be able to stop looking up at his high-flying show packed with graceful, gravity-defying aerial artists of every variety. Thrilling, beautiful and downright spectacular, Le Aerial may leave you dreaming of running away to the circus yourself.

A Night At The Musicals 3: Summer Lovin Tour

Tickets: $38-$48

No musical is safe when Le Gateau Chocolat and Jonny Woo are in town. These camp-as-hell queens will drag you kicking and screaming through their fave musical numbers from the likes of Cats, Greece, The Sound Of Music and more with questionable dance moves, crazy costumes and fierce, not-safe-for-work humour.

Josh Glanc: It's Great To Be Here

Tickets: $25-$35

Our fave comedian and "master of craze" Josh Glanc is finally coming back to Perth with his new show It's Great To Be Here. If you're yet to catch one of his sell-out shows, let me fill you in. It's basically like stepping inside a creative, hilarious and wonderfully weird mind—jumping from one odd idea to the next, with each leaving you wondering how the hell did we end up here and I don't even know what I'm laughing at anymore.

Tickets: $26-$36

Award-winning circus crew, Kinetica, are back with more off-the-wall antics than ever before. It ticks every cirque-tacular box you can dream of, mixing traditional and contemporary circus extravagance with maximum wow factor. Expect aerials, fire, contortion, kooky characters, music and dance, with endless razzle dazzle that'll leave you wanting more.

Yuck Circus: Off Chops

Tickets: $30-$32

If you blinked, you would have missed out on tickets to Yuck Circus' shows last year, so you'll be glad to hear they're bringing more magnificent, daring and cheeky performances back to our shores for FRINGE WORLD 2023. Their latest show, Off Chops, is a hilarious look at a rowdy, incredibly boozy night out. These talented female artists have been titled ‘Flight of the Conchords meets Cirque du Soleil’ so you’d feel YUCK if you miss them.
