10 Of The Best Bali Wedding Venues For Your Perfect Day (2024 Edition)

By

As far as dream wedding venues go, it doesn’t get much more dreamy than a Bali wedding—between the balmy weather, glorious tropical backdrop and let’s not forget far cheaper vendor prices, it’s no surprise that so many Aussies flock over to this island paradise to say I do.

Whether you want to tie the knot in a cliff-top mansion, at a flashy five-star hotel, or on a pristine white sand beach, Indonesia’s favourite island doesn’t miss in our books.

Here are 10 of the best wedding venues in Bali to research in 2024 and beyond.

Ayana Resort and Spa

Located in Jimbaran in south Bali, the Ayana Resort and Spa sits upon towering cliffs with sweeping views over the Indian Ocean. But be warned: deciding to have the ceremony here is only part one. Ayana has not one, not two, but 18 indoor and outdoor wedding venues to choose from, ranging from the opulent AYANA ballroom with a 1000-person capacity, to the leafy Orchid room for intimate ceremonies of just 22. There’s also a bunch of ocean-facing options, including the grandiose Champa Garden to the low-key KISIK Pier.

Bvlgari Resort Bali

For those sparing no expenses, the luxury Bvlgari Resort in Bali offers four of the most lavish wedding venues on the entire island. The Bulgari Mansion is a five-bedroom manor house, located on a secluded hill with views over the Indian Ocean. Then there’s La Terrazza, accessible via a wooden bridge that leads to a spacious open-air terrace which peers out over the sea. The spectacular Bulgari Chapel is the brand’s first wedding chapel worldwide, formed from stone with hand-crafted floor-to-ceiling glass panelling. And finally we have the Bulgari Villa, featuring a private garden, thatched gazebo and reflecting pool. Choose wisely!

Bali’s five-star resort Alila Villas in south Bali’s Uluwatu is the go-to for a stylish send-off. Prized for its chic minimalist architecture and mesmerising ocean views, you can pick between a uniquely designed “cliff edge cabana” venue or a “temple terrace” for your special day. You can also book out the whole resort to yourself, with private use of the on-site spa and infinity pools.

Tirtha Bali

The first purpose built venue of its kind in Bali, Tirtha is well-loved for its iconic glass chapel, offering panoramic views over the Indian Ocean while you tie the knot. Set by the cliffs of southern Bali, the Tirtha team works with couples to design, plan, and organise bespoke weddings that perfectly match your tastes.

The Hanging Gardens of Bali

Set in the heart of the Balinese Jungle, The Hanging Gardens of Bali is for couples seeking something different altogether. With views over the Ayung River and the ancient Dalem Segara Temple, this luxury resort holds the title of “World’s First Seven-Star Boutique Hotel” and its twin-tiered cascading pool has been named the world’s best swimming pool. The enchanting location, surrounded by lush rainforest and rice terraces, has two options for weddings: either at its stunning cascading pool or its riverside spa gazebo.

The St. Regis Bali Resort

The St. Regis Bali Resort has a bunch of indoor and outdoor wedding venues, starring its stunning beachfront Cloud Nine Chapel. Surrounded by a pond which overflows and cascades down steps, and featuring sparkling Swarovski crystal chandeliers, the resort’s largest wedding venue includes a wood-terraced reception on the beachfront, ideal for pre-dinner canapes and drinks.

Royal Pita Maha

Nestled in the lush Ayung River Valley, Royal Pita Maha is another idyllic venue for nature seekers. Here, you have the choice of several intimate wedding ceremonies from its Waterfall Wedding Chapel, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and a cascading waterfall, to the Royal Temple, set among traditional Balinese temples for a serene and sacred service.

Desa Potato Head

The OMA-designed Desa Potato Head in Seminyak is not known for its weddings. The self-ascribed “creative playground” and “oceanside village” is known for its beach club, rooftop bar and range of award-winning dining venues. But you can also get married there. The Potato Heads can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests, and everyone can stay over at their on-site, one-of-a-kind hotels.

The Mulia

Nusa Dua’s beach resort The Mulia offers two ballrooms, three chapels, and eight different dining venues for your special day. They dedicate a whole team into planning every detail of the day, with options including the floating glass Eternity Chapel, the ocean-facing Harmony Chapel, and the exclusive beachfront Unity Garden.

Raffles

Having only opened in 2021, Raffles in Jimbaran Bay is the new kid on the wedding block. The luxe resort opens up its Presidential Villa for intimate ceremonies and parties of up to 30 guests, set within a tropical garden with panoramic views of the ocean. You’ll also have access to a secluded private beach, infinity pool, spa, tennis courts and as many as six restaurants and bars.
