Flight Of The Conchords Have Just Announced Their First NZ Tour In 14 Years

Everybody Stay Cool—Flight of the Conchords are officially coming back down under, with a five-show tour of New Zealand in November this year. 

The duo shot to fame in the early 2000s with the launch of the eponymous HBO series based on the band that Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement started in 1998. Combining music, comedy and skits, the pair have become synonymous with a certain kind of dry Kiwi humour. 

While Flight of the Conchords has remained, both McKenzie and Clement have found fame outside of the band too, on both local and international projects, including What We Do In The Shadows, Moana, A Minecraft Movie, Avatar, The Muppets, and more. 

Today's news will mark the first time the band have embarked on an NZ-wide tour since 2012. It kicks off in Wellington on 10 November, with a second date on 14 November. They'll play at the Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch on 12 November, and finish up with two shows at The Civic in Auckland on 18 and 19 November. 

Tickets go on sale Friday 18 September at 1pm. Given the duo's surprise April shows in Wellington sold out in minutes, it's safe to say you'll want to get in quick.
