Self-care is getting an upgrade with the arrival of Queenstown’s first central hot pools, bringing a sleek new take on the classic soaking experience.
Designed as an escape from the city, Bathe by Allume is located on Brecon Street and blends luxurious design with pure relaxation, boasting six modern pools (three of which have stunning mountain views), two garden pools and one communal option.
Each pool is crafted with earthy materials, smooth finishes and serene tones designed to relax the mind just as much as body. Whether you just need a quiet, private escape or you want to celebrate something more social—Bathe by Aluume has what you need.
The communal hot pool fits 1-8 people, a warm spot for quiet conversation or comfortable silence, your pick. If you need more space for yourself, the private hot pools are designed for 1-4 people, for sixty minutes of uninterrupted calm.
Remember to bring along your water bottle and stayed hydrated with refilling stations available, or browse their thoughtful selection of refreshments while you relax.
Aluume Wellness founder Tim McMahon says the premium facilities have been designed to suit everyone’s needs.
“If you’re looking to enjoy a quiet moment or if you’re looking for something a bit more social with both private and communal pools there’s an option for everyone. All of it with the added convenience of its central location.”
McMahon says Bathe is elevated, but still accessible.
“Our pricing reflects that accessibility. Communal sessions will be from $55 and private from $95 for one-hour soaks. We’re eager to hear from our customers and will keep alternative options, like longer soaks, open”.
This is Aluume Wellness’ first Queenstown project, soon to be joined by Thermae by Aluume, New Zealand’s first floating sauna which is set to open on Lake Wakatipu in 2026.
Together, they’re redefining wellness in the adventure capital and we’re already excited for our new Queenstown trip.
Bathe by Aluume is open from Saturday 15 November, 2025.
