The Verdict

Sitting pretty on Princes Wharf is Euro. First opening in 1999, the fine dining restaurant and bar has stood the test of time and become an Auckland favourite. The well-loved space has had an utterly gorgeous new refit and talented Executive Chef Gareth Stewart has crafted an equally impressive new summer menu. With so many epic stand outs (the big eye tuna with the giant fried rice cracker is a revelation), you'll quickly realise you need to return to sample ALL the things. Moving away from the fine dining concept it's been known for, Euro invites you to share a plate or two in modern and relaxed surroundings.

Every detail of the restaurant has been clearly well thought out, from the plates co-ordinating with the menus, to the pale pink gorgeousness of the interior and not forgetting the well-stocked bar slinging seasonal specials (Rosemary Rue, we're looking at you). Euro is known for its seafood, plucked fresh from the ocean the venue overlooks. Here you’ll find freshly shucked oysters, ceviche, kingfish and yellowtfin tuna. The menu also stars beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarians will be pleased to know there’s an extensive vege-friendly menu. A meal at Euro is sure to impress your significant other so make it your next date night go-to.
