Looking for your next dinner spot in Bali? Berawa has a new opening worth adding to your list. Win Win has officially opened at Etta The Place, bringing the feel of a 90s New York neighbourhood restaurant to Bali, with rotisserie chicken, seafood towers, customisable martinis and a space designed to go from casual daytime dining to candlelit dinners after dark.

Founded by Gibran Baydoun of BYGB Studio and That’s Proper Hospitality Group, the team behind Lucali BYGB, Corduroy Palace and Proper Slice BYGB, Win Win is built around the idea of a neighbourhood hangout where locals and travellers can share the same table. By day, it takes on a luncheonette feel; by night, it leans into the energy of a classic New York dining room.

The menu, led by Executive Chef Ashlee Malligan, whose experience includes Bacchanalia and Restaurant Nouri in Singapore, delivers a mix of nostalgic comfort food and elevated restaurant favourites. Think buttermilk-fried olives with aerated ranch, hamachi cones with avocado, oysters Rockefeller, spicy vodka rigatoni, dry-aged duck breast and bulgogi-glazed spatchcock chicken. For dessert, there’s Ruth Etta’s favourite pecan pie and warm chocolate chip cookies served with an egg cream soda float.

The martinis deserve a mention, too. Instead of choosing from a fixed list, diners can build their own using a notepad to select their preferred spirits, ratios and garnishes. The interiors complete the mood with stainless-steel dining tables, mint-green flatware, corduroy booths, vintage Indonesian fabrics and long tapered candles that bring the space to life after sunset.

And Win Win is only the beginning. Etta The Place is a wider hospitality destination set to bring together coffee, cocktails, nightlife, rooftop lounging and boutique accommodation. Legacy Fine Roasters & Creamery serves American-style coffee and soft serve, while Palace Disco is set to bring vinyl, cocktails and late-night dancing. Chez Kiki will introduce a poolside rooftop concept, and 15 boutique rooms are scheduled to open in November 2026.

There’s a community-minded side to the project, too: Etta The Place has committed one per cent of quarterly revenue to local causes, including Sungai Watch.
