In a first for the Southern Hemisphere, a world-class celestial light and sound installation is launching at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in March 2025. Forget everything you know about light shows—Astra Lumina is a fully immersive cosmic journey of light, sound and magic.
Opening on Wednesday 5 March, the new permanent eco-tourism attraction will fuse projections, lighting, storytelling and soundscapes to create an ethereal trail through Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s 27 hectares of bushland, distinct from the Sanctuary’s wildlife experience.
Experience a completely different side to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary; this enchanting, multi-sensory night walk will showcase Currumbin’s natural beauty with breathtaking, cutting-edge technology. While we can’t reveal details yet, some of the trail’s highlights include the Astra Archway, Stardust Rays and Nebular Waves...
From the creative masterminds at Moment Factory—the team behind jaw-dropping productions for Billie Eilish, Madonna, and Disney—this globally celebrated light show has already mesmerised over one million visitors in cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, and Philadelphia. This will be the first and only Astra Lumina installation in the Southern Hemisphere. So yes, we’re expecting big things.
