Everyone loves a trip down memory lane. And what better way to get you there than a movie night with some old-school 90s classics.

To save you time in culling through your VCR archives, we’ve teamed up with McCain to put together an iconic round-up that will have you reveling in nostalgia.

It’s time to blow off those plans you never intended to keep, get McCain’s new Rustica pizza range in the oven (we’re talking Salami and Four Cheese, Tuscan Style Meatballs and Smoked Ham And Aged Cheddar) and kick back for the ultimate night in.

10 Things I Hate About You

Starring our very own beloved Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 10 Things I Hate About You is arguably one of the best rom coms of all time. This clever reworking of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew sees bad boy Patrick (Heath Ledger) attempt to win the heart of Kat (Julia Stiles) as a part of a bet. Who are we kidding, you’ve definitely seen this at least three times before.

Never Been Kissed

If you’re after the ultimate chick flick, look no further than Never Been Kissed. In this epic 90s hit, the always charming Drew Barrymore plays a 25-year-old journalist who goes undercover at a high school, reliving her dorky adolescence and surprisingly stumbling upon her first love. Bring on the crochet tops, metallic pink, and head-to-toe white threads revival.

Clueless

The winner for the movie that can never be watched too many times is, Clueless. The vain but lovable Cher is a Meddlesome Beverly Hills high school student who decides to take new girl Tai under her wing and transform her into one of the ‘popular’ girls. Oh, and let's not forget Paul Rudd as Cher’s stepbrother Josh in what was one of his first-ever acting gigs. Settle in and cue the unforgettable one-liners.

Happy Gilmore

In this outrageous comedy, failed hockey player Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) turns to an unlikely career in golf in an attempt to save his grandmother’s house. While we adore this feel-good film, any and all Adam Sandler movies from the 90s pass our criteria with flying colours. Whether it’s Billy Maddison, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer—you’re sure to have the good vibes pumping and belly laughs ensuing.

Cruel Intentions

Cruel Intentions—which sparked teenage sexual awakenings across the globe—is the dark, provocative thriller that changed our lives from the moment we watched it. Between impeccable performances from conniving step-siblings Sebastian (Ryan Philippe) and Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar), the iconic ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ scene, or watching the charming Reese Witherspoon at just 22 years old—this carries every ounce of nostalgia we’re looking for.

Pretty Woman

Flung onto Video Ezy shelves at the beginning of the decade, Pretty Woman is the kind of movie that has you smiling from ear to ear the entire time. Undoubtedly the most unconventional 90s love story where businessman Edward (Richard Gere) falls in love with escort Vivian (Julia Roberts) while navigating each other's extremely different lives. Get ready to swoon, laugh, cry and sigh—if you don't revisit this one you're making a big mistake. Big. Huge.

Fight Club

In this drama-filled blockbuster, an unnamed white-collar insomniac played by Edward Norton violently revolts against capitalism, starting an underground fighting ring, after an unlikely encounter with a man named Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt). But as anyone who's watched the film knows, the first rule of 'Fight Club' is you do not talk about Fight Club. Ciggy-happy Marlo played by Helena Bowen Carter and Jarod Leto's star appearance as Angel Face is enough reason to watch it alone.

My Girl

In this heart-wrenching coming-of-age flick,11-year-old tomboy Vada (Anna Chlumsky) finds herself an unlikely friend in Thomas (Macauley Culkin) as she tries to disrupt her Dad's (Dan Aykroyd) blossoming new relationship with Shelley (Jamie Lee Curtis). Boasting one of the best soundtracks of all time, My Girl is a 70s-soaked dramedy that still manages to turn us into a blubbering mess 20 years on.

Titanic

A James Cameron classic that certainly needs no introduction, Titanic undoubtedly takes the cake for the ultimate 90s blockbuster as the first film in history to hit the billion-dollar mark at the box office. Strap yourself in and prepare yourself for over three hours of steamy romance, comedy, drama, tragedy and, of course, baby-faced Leo.

Jurassic Park

Easily one of the most iconic and recognisable film scores from the 90s, it’s safe to say Jurassic Park still has us jumping out of our seats no matter how many times we've seen it. Stephen Spielberg’s groundbreaking visual effects have seriously stood the test of time and are what makes this epic action-packed flick still so enjoyable to watch.

Pulp Fiction

In 1994 the film industry was changed forever when Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and its non-linear plotline quickly became considered as one of the greatest movies of all time. Lose yourself in the stories of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster, his wife, and a pair of diner bandits brilliantly colliding into one in this Oscar-nominated film. John Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson... need we say more?

Scream

The list wouldn’t be complete without at least one horror film and our top pick for a 90s horror fest continues to haunt us with every mask-bearing costume come Halloween. Starring all of our favourite 90s queens Neve Campbell, Drew Barrymore, and Courtney Cox, Scream is the horror film we’ll gladly pop on to scare ourselves silly.

Now And Then

If there’s a movie you’re wanting to watch with your nearest and dearest friends, Now And Then is the pick for you. This joyous movie sees four childhood best friends reminiscing on the magical summer of 1970 and their eventful passage from childhood to puberty. With heart-warming displays of friendship, first love, and iconic 70s get-ups, this movie is the definition of ‘feel-good’.

Jumanji

Watching Jumanji has to rank as one of our most stressful childhood memories. Despite the anxiety-inducing quicksand, spiders, and earthquakes, Jumanji transports us right back into a simpler time and we absolutely love it. Pair that with a stellar performance from Robin Williams—and baby Kirsten Dunst—and you have yourself a winning combo.

Pumped for an epic night in? Rally the crew and create the ultimate night in to binge them all. Team your night in with McCain’s new Rustica pizza range: Salami and Four Cheese, Tuscan Style Meatballs, and Smoked Ham And Aged Cheddar. Because pizza and a movie night, seriously… name a better duo. We’ll wait.
