It might be on the verge of a population explosion, but the urban areas of Logan haven’t yet seen much of the incredible food scenes taking over Brisbane and the Gold Coast in the north and south—until now.
In news just announced, a massive new food precinct inspired by New York’s Chelsea Market and London’s Borough Market is set to hit Eagleby in late 2020 or early 2021, providing 18,000sqm of food, arts, culture and events to the ready-and-waiting Logan region.
Details are sparse on exactly who will be landing in the precinct, with expressions of interest only just flowing in now, but according to CEO at Tonken Property Group, Kenton Campbell, the precinct will be home to the likes of a boutique butcher, artisan providores, flower markets, an Asian supermarket, fashion retailers and plenty more. We’re just guessing here, but it can probably also be assumed that there’ll be a heap of places to eat and drink too, so get excited crew.
And, being right off the freeway, it will be easily accessible to those coming from north, south, east or west, cementing itself as the new place to hang out once the epic undertaking is finally complete.
For now, those who want to check out the location can drop by Kiwanda Café, a huge, industrial-themed eatery and bar that’s already dishing up gastronomical offerings and cheeky espresso martinis, with a coffee roastery just next door. Otherwise, stay tuned and we’ll be updating once we know more.
