A European-Inspired Winter Market With Mulled Wine Is Happening Soon

For those of you dreaming about taking a winter trip to the snowy wonderland that most of Europe turns into every Christmas, we’ve found a festival that might just be the next best thing. Since we can’t go overseas any time soon, head up to Tamborine Mountain this June instead, where you can live out those Euro Christmas dreams just an hour away from the city.

From 18–20 June, Evergreen Festival will be taking over the mountain top village, transporting you to a magical Christmas-like winter market in the middle of the year. Market Lane is the festival’s main attraction and will no doubt have you feeling like you’ve stepped into an old town square somewhere in Germany or Austria.

Stalls stocked with handmade ornaments and winter treats are set to be the market’s star players, but there will also be mulled wine and roasted chestnuts (of course), as well as light installations popping up across the market. Entry to the market will be free but if you feel you haven’t reached your full European potential yet, you can upgrade and make a booking for the Scandi Village Dining.

The feasting element of the festival, Scandi Village Dining will be hosted by the team at Wine & Dine’m Catering, featuring some of the region’s best produce. There’s two dining options available—you can choose between Lykke for a tasting menu or Hygge for a three-course dinner (both sound delicious). Bookings are available for time slots across the weekend and will be filling up quickly so be sure to get in early.

More information is still to come here but this winter inspired festival is already in our diary.
